Whether it be makeup, skincare, food, or books, I'm a floozy. Albeit, I'm back (again) with my product picks from this week.
Speaking of the word, it couldn't be more fitting than when applied to the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle. Yup - consider it your angel in disguise. For a solid three months, it sat unloved in my drawers. Don't call me lazy, because I did pick it up here and there, but only for a 'please fall in love' notion. The cycle continued... But, alas, I haven't been able to put it down all week. No joke, no joke! Yes, it may be a bit more 'whoa' than my usual highlighter musings, but paired with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush, NARS Laguna, NARS Luster, a dewy base, and a slick of mascara...ahhhhhh.
What's the deal with beauty bloggers and bedtime? We post shed loads about out starry sky complimented pamper sessions, bath essentials, and haircare, shower, and bedtime routines. Well, count me guilty, especially now as I speak of the beauty blogger cliché - the bedside stash. I love some morning makeup application, but there's nothing I like more than a single lighted, beauty application underneath the sheets.
A new addition to my bedside ranks this week, classified by a matching heart eyed, dreary minded gaze, is the Soap & Glory Hand Food. A hand cream is essential, non? And I turned to my wanna-be-British brand, Soap & Glory, to feed (literally) my hands.
So, I've put down the Nuxe Rêve de Miel *gasps* and, instead, have been reaching for the Yu Be Moisturizing Skin Creme. Call it my makeshift 'Eight Hour Cream', but the all purpose balm has been brought out of the back of my drawer - initiated by, you guessed it, Vivianna. Unlike the Elizabeth Arden counterpart, it's concocted with a glycerin base rather than the usual petroleum - a plus for us mineral oil-wary gals. As a lip balm, it's pretty gorgeous, as it sinks in rather quickly yet still passes the hydration test.
Call it the bedside and newly discovered 'most loved trio', but je les aime, nonetheless.
