The Skincare Extras

Pheww! That is for me being MIA (finals...and for the last installment of the skincare roundup. Despite my natural inclined love of skincare, the masks, mists, and, what I like to call "extras" are my favorite part...and Sundays too, coincidentally. So here is my role of all things weekend appropriate for skincare facials.

What's the story? Have you slipped up on your water intake, downed a few too many cookies, or stayed up too late on the good ol' tube? For me, it's probably all three, but the Origins Super Spot Remover sorts things out. It's a gel consistency that usually comes with a bit of 'I'm doing something' stinging, but I find it works best on spots that are about to come to the surface. I've even turned my brother onto the stuff, but luckily, he's got his own tube.

Whenever you hear the world "glycolic" it's often paired with Alpha H Liquid Gold. Yup, you heard me - the blemmen' expensive stuff. Regardless, it promises glowy, perfected skin that helps clear pores, rid of scars, spots and all things iffy...it's like getting a facial while you sleep (and I may or may not have gotten that off the Alpha H website). Unfortunately, I'm near the end of the bottle, so I guess the moment of truth shall be when the dregs come out and I decide if I'm willing to purchase again.
Bloggers suck you in and it's no surprise that here I am with another hyped product - the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. Calming ingredients chocked up into a refreshing mist make the "elixir" experience oh-so amazing. Wonderful at calming the redness of blemishes and redness around the visage, it's a sensitive skin gal's dream.

Cue Sunday night when the bath faucet turns on and I dig out the matches. Even thought it's only just a sample, I'm including the REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask because I think it's just that good. Radiance? Check. Softness? Like a baby's bottom. Any other purchasing encouragement is joyfully appreciated in the comments below.
And for my favorite mask EVER - the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Either my night time moisturizer isn't providing me with enough moisture or I'm about to marry the stuff, but I slap a bit of this peachy smelling goodness on every night. Excessive? Perhaps, but my skin loves it.
Deep down clean gets handed to the Origins Clear Improvements Active Charcoal Mask. As you can tell, I'm on my last legs of this stuff and I'm considering buying another tube. Although it's not ideal that it brings out spots every so often because of its serious deep cleaning properties, I'd rather them rise and be gone than hang around for a while...we're still talking about the spots here

And the skincare mash up is ending. For you makeup mavens, don't worry, as I've got some kick butt reading material coming your way. Skincare junkies alike, I hope you enjoyed and unite in the comments below.

    1. How lovely of you to say! This is easily one of the best comments I've ever read! I've been to Paris once, but that was when I was 8...all I really cared about were the toy stores and when I could get my next chocolate croissant. I make the trek to NYC often. I know you'll love it (especially because they've got everything there). Thanks again for the comment! Talk to you soon!
