I've made no effort to hide my love of dewy skin, peachy-pinks, and sheer bases. Naturally, you could probably gather that my makeup wardrobe looks a bit too similar to vary. Nevertheless, my discerning eye is specially trained to pick out the differences. Thus, here lands spring beauty product haven.
Firstly, without getting into my recent spending habits (P.S. you can probably guess what kind of post will be coming up soon), I recently picked up the Dr. Jart Waterfuse BB Beauty Balm. No odes shall be made yet, but I'm getting out my buffing brush and blending away.
Carrying on with the dewy bases, editing down the highlighters sure did take the best of my decision making skills...to choose one out of my three highlighters that is. Anyways, I finally decided upon Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl. Observations - a more subtle version of High Beam. No pink hue, just sheer dewiness.
Short and sweet - Origins Vitazing. Pale skin girls, don't fret. Wearing the lightest shade in the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, this leaves no orange-y-ness nor spray tanned faces in sight. Review? I dare you to peek, as it's quite a ravey one and it comes with a fair warning to hold your wallets.
Cheeks and lips....ahhh! Première, NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny. Cheap, cheerful, and bloody amazing. Costing your wallet no more than $2.99, a matte bronzer perfect for contouring, and simply just bronzing.
An all year round beaute? Perhaps, yet somehow and someway, Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper has found a way to creep itself back in...back into yet another blog post that is. Although it may leave a little bit to wish for in terms of shimmer, the peachy color just is too good to be true.
Last but not least for cheeky favorites (I've got quite chubby cheeks, so I like my cheek products) - NARS Lustre. Its been buried in the dust for too long, but I have dreams of walking around the city, bronzed cheeks, pinky gloss, dewy skin, and Lustre atop in all it's bronzy, shimmery bliss. *Correction* more like chic shimmer. Part bronzer, part blusher, it just seems like the obvious choice.
It wouldn't really be an edit or any type of post really without mentioning the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01. I've got 'Rose Shimmer' on the go at the moment, but perhaps another months use and I may crack to buy 'Apricot Shimmer', or perhaps one of the new shades! That's for another time, but for now, I'll be enjoying this one in all the glistening perfection of a perfector that it is.
That's it - take a peek into the bottom of the makeup mayhem and collect some of those good un's that have been collecting dust all winter. I'm putting the subtle berry tones and ghost like tinted moisturizers away (well, not really), but I may need to hit the sun for a bit of a natural bronze, yet first I must overcome the fear of burning...
