A few more samples have hit the dust and instead of rejoicing as I toss some more empties into the bin, a whole in my heart was carved and remained...until I zoomed off to buy the real 'tings. Perhaps it all sounds a bit too much like a soap opera, but my skin sure is playing the lead role and is liking everything that's getting rubbed, rinsed, and cleansed onto it.
Although I do love makeup, more often than not, I go a little cake-faced by the end of the day I've recently been noticing that makeup settles into my pores quite quickly. I few search terms into Google and a few hours passed and the verdict was that my skin was dehydrated....as well as 95% of other people on this planet. I've had my eye on this for a while, but my recent research finally pushed me to buy the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Sure enough one use and as soon as 4:00 rolled around the next afternoon, my makeup looked a lot more fresh and natural. Besides that, it smells amazing, is packed with a shed load hyaluronic acid (well, it's little cousin), and makes your skin glow...oohh la la!
Also from Origins (aka skincare lover's heaven), I picked up the Origins High Potency Night A Mins Oil Free. I was a little bothered with my current night lotion (review here) and decided to take the blow with some Valentine's Day moolah. I sure am glad I did! As with all Origins products, it smells gorgeous, adds a good dose of hydration, leaves glowy skin, and doesn't feel heavy. I think it may have also helped clear up a few spots...
I've saved the best for last - the one and only Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Shall Iet go ahead and list all the wonderful things this beauty editor's favorite has done for my skin? Bluntly, it cleared up all of my spots, got rid of dark marks and acne scarring within a few days, and hydrates the skin beautifully. Oh. my. gosh. Is there anything that this serum can't do? I've even got my friend turned onto it too...although she loves it, her wallet weeps, but it isn't hyped for nothing.
I'll keep you posted on how the 'new additions' end up working out, but I'm really liking them thus far. Another landmark has been passed along the skincare voyage...until next time.
