Makeup and Toiletry Bag | Travel Beauty

Here we are with the second installment to the 'Travel Beauty' series. Ironic how I'm definitely not the jet setter makeup artist nor the know it all air compression freak, but chances are that you are a bit snoopy, so go ahead and take a look into my makeup and toiletry bag. Psssttt...you can look in my hand luggage here as well.

To get the ball rollin' we're starting with makeup- For bases, I'm keeping it really light and really simple and bringing along the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free. Chances are my skin may go a bit bazerk as well, so the spots and baggy eyes will be hidden with the MAKEUP FOREVER Full Cover Concealer. As for cheeks, no surprises here, as I'm brought along what I like to call the tried, tested, and truely gorgeous cheeky assortment. What may these be? Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper, Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder, NARS Deep Throat blush, and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. To touch on the Soft and Gentle a bit, I don't love it as a cheek highlight, but it makes a god gorgeous inner corner pop and works lovely as an eyeshadow...quite multipurpose.
For the last of the dregs, the Stila In the Know palette for creating any eyeshadow look under the sun and the Clinique Redness Solutions Powder for any oily combat. I've thrown in my most moisturizing bunch of lip products as well - Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer (of course), Burberry Lip Mist in Nude Peach, Estée Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Pink Innocence, and, surprise surprise, the NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm (otherwise known as lip hydration in a tub).

For the bath, body and hair bits, I'm bringing the Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap. I've got the peppermint scent and not only is this amazing at cleaning makeup brushes, it is über moisturizing as a body wash as well, makes a great moisturizing bath, and can be used as toothpaste. I've not tried the latter, as I'm bringing my own tube, but it's multi-function in a bottle. To add to the hydration, the mini sample of the Laura Mercier Soufflé Body Crème in Ambre Vanille is finally coming in handy. For more of the cleansing bits, the Aveeno Body Bar and Molton Brown Conditioner fit the bill...which reminds me that I've got to pick up a mini shampoo. The Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave in Conditioner will add the little bit of extra added hydration and, laste but not least, some contact lens solution just fits into the necessity category.

Quickly onto skincare, I've rambled about these bits enough so I'll be sure to keep it snappy. I've thrown in the Clarisonic Mia, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Origins Mega Bright Moisturizer. In the little pots, I've got some REN ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser, Cetaphil Cleanser, Origins High Potency Night A Mins, and some Origins VitaZing which I was so close to not bringing, but cracked in the end. I've also decanted a bit of Alpha H Liquid Gold.

It's a long one, but a good one and you've officially seen all of the bits and bobs prone to leakage and spillage in the depths of my suitcase...just my luck. Be sure to check out part one here.
