Skincare and Makeup Tings' | Haul

Ahh - another haul has landed at SugartoGlitter. I must admit, I've been a very naughty girl. I just have had the shopping bug! On the bright side, I did have a lot of gift vouchers and money left over from Christmas, so I didn't feel like I was spending too much, as well as the fact that I've had a new year makeup clear out, so I felt like I needed to replenish my stocks a bit. Anyway, last weekend, a very enabling friend and I took a bit of a shopping trip - not to mention I talked in a British accent the whole time and got some pretty wanted attention...

You see! A naughty naughty girl indeed!

First up, I'll start with the skincare things...

The makeup remover that everyone talks about. Turns out I'm becoming the biggest beauty blogger cliché ever.... Since I've been reading a lot of Caroline's blog (aka the skincare goddess), I read up about the importance of taking off your makeup before you cleanse. That and lounging around at 9:00 at night with a face still full of makeup mixed with sweat and dirt, all while doing homework - not so classy...nor good for my skin. I bought this on Ebay here with free shipping!

Story time - I got a sample of the Origins Mega-Mushroom face lotion and I loved it. Correction, I loved everything except the smell (cat pee, anyone?) and the price tag ($60?). That being said, the only thing I liked about it was how it changed my redness prone, tomato of a face into yellow toned, no-redness-in-sight perfection. This La Roche-Posay one - $13 from Ebay (score!), smells amazing, and happens to be green (aka gives the same tomato tone decreasing effect).

I'm going to keep this short and sweet - I got a sample. I applied. I came. I purchased. A hint of color and coverage, SPF, and moisturizing goodness - yes please! I've been switching around between this and the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer all week for the base category. Good skin - be at the ready!

Now onto the makeup...
As I mentioned, I've had a major clean out AND even used a lot of things up *pats self on back*!

That's all I'm going to say - the title...and that I did a review of this here. Rave over...

After Tarte Natural Beauty went out of the stocks and to a friend, I decided to switch the obscene pink of that for something a bit more...subtle. Me to a tee? Peach Whisper - a perfectly matte, peachy pink blusher that seems to fit consummately into the "year round" category.

Although my brows have it made in the "fullness" pigeonhole, they do tend to fail when it comes to neatness and tidiness. ENTER - Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Granite. Adding a bit of definition and staying in place all day...a match made in heaven.

Along with the brows, my face gets a full on "F" in the cheekbone department. My basketball of a face needs some added definition. Pasty and bronzer just don't mix, yet luckily Mr. Aucoin must know me personally. Instant cheekbones as easy as a swipe and blend....gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!

At last, we have come to the end. I may be in need of a few more actual necessities soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that along with an empties post. Well, technically this haul includes necessities too! Off I go to plan some reviews...perhaps followed by a "window shopping" session....*repeat* WINDOW!

Also, if you'd like to see  a little "skincare shakeup" post, let me know in the comments...a lot of things have changed around and I'm liking the way things are looking.

    1. Definitely check out ebay, but they also sell it on Amazon if you'd rather do that. Ebay just turned out bit cheaper. x
