A "Toe Dip" into MAC Paint Pots | Painterly

Another Christmas gift review. So many people always talk about the MAC Paint Pots, this was at the top of my list. There was Bare Study, seemed a bit too "champagne stark" for my liking, Rubenesque, a little too dramatic, and the list goes on. I finally decided on Painterly, not quite knowing what I was going to get myself into.

I have used this everyday since Christmas...EVERY DAY! I use it under every single eyeshadow. I use it just on it's own. It's gorgeous. It blends into my lids really nicely, and adds a little "je ne sais pas".

As for the texture, it is quite thick, which I like. It doesn't crease on me and it stays all day. I tend to like the texture of the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows better, but, like I said, I've used this one everyday since I got it, and I rarely ever use my Benefit one.

It's official - I'm in love with Painterly Paint Pot. What's your favorite Paint Pot?

  1. I love painterly as well! It's perfect if you don't have time for eyeshadow as just an all over wash as it hides veining and discoloration, but it's also a perfect base :) x

    1. Yes! It's amazing! I never would have thought that I would get that much use out of it either!

    1. Yep! I've heard a lot of good things about those! I only own one and I never use it for some reason. I find the color range seems to be missing more "barely there" colors - mostly because I'm definitely a subtle-eye kind of girl. ;)
