Birchbox September 2012

First of all, I want to apologize for all the changes in scenery lately, that is the appearance of my blog. It is a bit of trial and error, but hopefully this one's here to stay. Now, introducing the September Birchbox! Mine got here a bit late, but it is what it is (in fact it didn't get here until Thursday....what a joke). Anyway, here is my little $10 surprise of the month!

Vasanti Brighten Up Enzymatic Rejuvenator: "this exfoliating cleanser uses professional-grade microderm crystals and papaya enzymes to brighten dull skin." I'm not quite sure why Birchbox keeps on sending me so called "brightening products", but I really like this cleaner, but not necessarily for it's brightening qualities. The micro-crystals fell amazing when you rub it into your skin and overall I think it is a nice cleanser and it is not too harsh for my skin (and didn't make it red).

Color Club nail polish in "tweet me": "we teamed up with Color Club to create this custom shade, inspired by the Fall 2012 collections." I never wear nail polish, but for those who do, I would definitely recommend this one...except not in this color. I would describe the color as witchy-cauldron-acid-yellow. Yes, I know, not exciting. If I finally decide I really want some nail polish, I'll definitely be picking up this one in "put a pin in it".

La Fresh Eco-Beauty Nail Polish Remover: "leave the cotton balls and acetone behind. These convenient pads dissolve polish with a natural mix of botanicals and soothing aloe vera." I tried these out just for this post, again, since I don't wear nail polish, and I actually love them! They smell amazing (like blood orange) and remove nail polish with ease. I feel kind of bad that I wasted one, but oh well. Can you use these for anything else?

kate spade new york Twirl: "a blend of fruity and floral notes, this modern classic feels joyful and carefree." I have mixed feelings about this perfume. With first spritz, it smells sooooo sweet, which isn't quite my taste. The way it dries, though, is really, really nice...think subtle floral. That is about as far as I'm going to go to describe the scent. I'm not quite a perfume connoisseur...yet that is. Who knows where this spending urge will go?

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint: "this SPF 15 oil-free tinted moisturizer blends in beautifully to even out skin and control shine." You know how you read the labels on things as they entice you in. You pull out the wallet, spend the cash, get it home, and realize it's terrible? Well, forgot that with this product. It's official...I'm obsessed! I will definitely be buying the full size of this. It moisturizes and keeps my face matte all. day. long. No joke!

Mighty Leaf Tea Company: this post is getting pretty long, so bottom line is, if you like tea, you'll love these! Forget the Bisquick...tea lovers, unite!!
