December Favorites

Is it just me or did December FLY by!?!
That being said, here is a little (trés petite, in fact) favorites post.
I will be doing a 2012 favorites, but I wanted to get this up so that I could include some of the things I've been loving this month.

Soap & Glory Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel
I raved about the scent of the Soap & Glory Flake Away scrub here and I was so obsessed with it that I decided to get the shower gel. No surprise with this phrase, but I'm just going to say it anyway - IT SMELLS SO GOOD! Okay, that's enough.

Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush
This was in my favorites last month...and here it is again. I did a post on this here so just check that out if you'd like to find out more.

Origins Frothy Foaming Face Wash
Let me be clear - THIS IS MY NEW HOLY GRAIL FACE WASH! Wow, a lot of caps lock is being used in the post, eh? You may have seen this in my "Origins tings'" post and I only got this about a week and a half ago, but it has cleared up my skin completely (within two days). I haven't broken out since and my acne was pretty bad. I use this with my Clarisonic and it feels so milky, creamy, and foamy. I just can't get enough.

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl Highlighter
I have worn this nearly everyday in December! For me, that's a big deal. It gives a really natural, pretty glow and it's so easy to blend. P.S. I'm almost positive this is a dupe for the MAC lustre drops in Pink Rebel, which I bought me mom for Christmas.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Full Cover Concealer
I since I finished my Bobbi Brown Touch Up Stick *pats herself on back*, I needed a new one...and here you have it! This concealer blends beautifully, covers completely, and looks (???) so nice! If you'd like a review of this, let me know.

That's it! Pretty short, but...c'est la vie! Watch out for my "Best of 2012" post that should be up tomorrow!

Merry (Belated) Christmas

Bonjour, mes amies! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas / all holidays. Life has been...busy, and I thought I'd just do a light and fun post for you today.
My Christmas was filled with fuzzy socks, pancakes by the fire, and brimming stockings. One thing, in particular, which relates greatly to this blog is a new makeup mirror...

Look y here! That's a new vanity! Well, my desk which I *just so happened* to turn into a vanity. Just a quick unplug of the desktop, a cleaning of a few drawers...three hours worth of work. Doesn't sound too easy, eh?

I think it looks pretty nice though. I'm quite a pleased *uhhehh* woman (??)

Just a few "bits and bobs" *insert British accent* I got in my stockin'.
MAC Paint Pot in painterly and Mineralize Skinfinish in soft and gentle

ANNDD my mom knows me so, so well...
Maybelline Color Tattoo in bad to the bronze and Lip Butter in berry smoothie

There you have it - a bit of my Christmas. How'd you spend your holiday season? Anythan' Santa brought you?

Origins Tings'

Unlike most beauty bloggers, I'm not really a skincare junkie. I guess my hoarding of packaging and all other things makes up for it, but ya know what I'm sayin'. While I was ordering a few gifts online from Sephora, I decided to pick up my Beauty Insider gift (proof that I've spent too much money there). I also picked up the Origins Super Spot Remover (which I'll get into later), which was technically free, but it's kind of a long story...

I tried a sample of the Super Spot Remover and I really liked it. Weirdly enough, I've been getting "spots" (hey! I like that word!) in the most random places where I have never gotten them before. What the $%*# is going on with my skin?!?

The Beauty Insider kit came with a Plantscription Anti-aging Serum, Checks and Balances face wash, Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream, and A Perfect World moisturizer with SPF 25.
This isn't normally a gift I would pick up, but I already have enough makeup (amen!) and I've been wanting to try some things (or tings') from Origins, for I've heard such good things about their brand.

A Perfect World SPF 25
This is supposed to be anti-aging (something which I don't really need, but prevention is good, eh?). I have been using as a day moisturizer and I love it! It is moisturizing, yet sinks into your skin really fast and doesn't leave a oily/shiny residue. This also has white tea in it, hence the smell. I personally hate the smell, but it's something I can deal with.

Super Spot Remover
I'm going to keep this simple: if you have a spot, pop this on it at night, and in the morning, it's gone.

Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream
I have been wanting to try this for a while, but it's just so bloody expensive!!! I'm not sure if this is doing much for my eyes, but it's really nice to apply and I *imagine* it doing good things.

Checks and Balances Face Wash
Before I begin, let me start by saying: this may be a new "holy grail" product for me. I've been using this with my Clarisonic at night, and I LOVE it! It is so creamy, milky, and foamy. It smells like mint and works beautifully on my combination skin. It gets my face squeaky clean, doesn't over-dry my dry areas and rids oil on my oily areas. I will DEFINITELY be buying the full size!

Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum
After the previous long review...I haven't used this. I'll probably just give this to someone special...

Wheww! Now, in all honesty, I know where the hype is coming from. What are some of your favorite Origins products? Is there something else I need to check out?

The Chic (and European) Holiday Gift Guide

When I decided to do a holiday gift guide, I tried to think of some way to make it unique. Then it hit me (I know, I just amaze myself sometimes) - since I dream of European lands, what's a better idea than to do a gift guide inspired by my two favorite (well, I've only been to one) citites. I've tried to include gifts at every price point so you can choose how "generous" you'd like to be. I've also included links to take you directly to the product, my "generous" gift to you.

Premiére - Paris. Did you really think I'd start with anything else?

Parisian Gift Guide
One of my "holy grail" products. Review here.

If I hear one more bit of hype about this...okay, I'll just buy it.

The primer, moisturizer (miracle product?) in one.

The universally flattering lipstick. I would add this to my list, but...

I have been dying for one of these! I confess, I just want to use the glass as a brush holder.

Yet again, the universally flattering blush. Review here.

I've heard such good things about this contour...if only.

Second, yet last, London! London! London! After looking at so many London beauty blogs, I think it's fair to say, I'm obsessed. Not surprising...I seem to be obsessed with a lot of things.

London Gift Guide
These high quality liners are supposed to be amazing! The nude color is great for the water line of tired eyes.
I'm not a huge lipstick lover, but just look at that packaging!
I'm just not going to talk about this until I finish up my Soap & Glory Flake Away scrub...empties!
Is anyone else obsessed with Soap & Glory like me?
I really want to try some Aesop stuff. Their also supposed to have really good skincare stuff as well.
If you are obsessed with Vivianna like I am...well, you'll probably already have this.
All the UK beauty bloggers have one of these.
*Just copy description above*

Well, there you have it! I hope you have enjoyed this gift guide and have gotten some good ideas. Tell me if you decide to give any of these as gifts, for I would love to know and it would make my day! Happy Holidays (and happy gifting)!

Dior Rosy Glow Blush

For those who have been reading my blog for a while, you may know that my overly red cheeks are something I have been self conscious about for a while now. That being said, it makes it even harder to find the right blush colors. Reds, pinks, peaches, berries....ayyayyeh!

Now, let me tell ya: I have heard so much about this blush! From missglamorazzi to essiebutton, everyone seems to have this blush...and love it. I know this is probably the last thing I need, but I'm so glad I got it. Firstly, just look at this packaging!

The idea behind this blush is that it's supposed to react with the moisture levels in your skin to give you the most natural shade of color for your skin tone. It smells like roses, it looks gorgeous, could it get any better?

In the pan, I'm not going to lie, this looks ugly. Yet on the skin, it transforms. I know that is the point of this blush, but I'm serious. Let me make this clear for you:
This is by far the prettiest blush I have ever seen.
If I were to make an all time favorites post, this would (without a doubt) be in it.

As you can see, on the skin, it gives the prettiest, most natural effect. A touch of pink. A touch of purple. Red. Peach. What else is in there? I honestly cannot say enough good things about this. Now, this swatch is particular to my skin tone...I guess that means you are going to have to go try it out for yourself...

Birchbox December 2012

Birchbox! Birchbox! Let me tell ya, after the past two boxes, I was about theessse close to cancelling. After this box, let me tell ya...well, just look -

Look at that box, eh!

Usually the Birchbox wrapping is pretty drab, but this month - quite the contrary. The theme is "All Wrapped Up." Fitting for the holidays.

Inside, I was very, very pleased.

Frownies Eye Gels
Eye-fitting gels enriched with cactus-derived collagen and toning niacin. This is exactly what I need! They help fight dark circles, bags, and puffiness - exactly what I need after this semester!

Juicy Couture Perfume
Their signature scent, Juicy Couture, I already own. You can never have enough samples. I like the smell, but it's definitely not my favorite.

Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo
Usually, with my dry scalp issues, clarifying shampoos are what I stay away from. On the other hand, this shampoo claims to be gentle enough for everyday use, while getting rid of build up without stripping hair of essential oils. Completely unrelated to what it may do for my hair: this stuff smells amazing!

Per-fékt Beauty Lash Perfection Gel
A girl can never have too many mascaras, eh? A multi-tasking primer, conditioner, and mascara. This mascara may do all the above, but it also gives amazing length and volume. Definitely worth a try if you're a mascara junkie.

Tea Forté Skin-Smart Teas
Cherry marzipan - tea?!? I'm not particularly fond of green tea, which all of these tend to be, but I'm daring and adventurous.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What did you get in your beauty boxes this month?

Stila's Kitten | My New Favorite Eye Shadow

The cult favorite. Everyone has Stila's Kitten.

Like I mentioned in my haul post, when I say this in a blog sale it just had to be mine.
I was a bit skeptical of it at first, for I am more into matte or satin shadows, not something with obvious shimmer.

As you can see, it is quite shimmery.
That being said, for some (strange, strange) reason, I love it!
It just looks pretty, especially when you use more of a amber, pinky shade in the crease.

Second, I never, ever wear eyeshadow, let alone the same one for more than a day.
I have worn this eyeshadow every single darn day for the past five. Five!

Another reason why I put off getting this for so long was because I thought it was going to be similar to theBalm's Mary Loumanizer, which I got in my Birchbox.
In the pan, they do look quite similar, and they are, but they are just not quite the same.

On top is theBalm's Mary Loumanizer and on the bottom is Stila's Kitten.
As you can see they are similar.
Mary Loumanizer is more on the yellow, orange (gold, if you will) side of things.
Stila's Kitten is definitely more pinky, peach, but definitely more leaning on the pink side.
If I were to compare this to something like MAC's All that Glitters, I would say it is very different.
I found that All that Glitters just looks weird on me. It is just too warm toned and too orange. Kitten is just the perfect balance.

Do you have Stila's Kitten? What eyeshadows do you like wearing with it? I really am starting to get into pink eyeshadows. I think it just looks so effortless and pretty.

Holiday Wishing

Christmas Wish List
Come on, who doesn't love the holidays? Since I love wish lists and it is that time of the year, why not combine the two?

Philosophy Shower Gel
I just love these shower gels and they have so many good holiday scents this year!

NARS Eyeshadow Duo
The only problem is I don't know which shade to ask for...

MAC Eyeshadows in Era and Copperplate
More recommendations from EssieButton. Are you really surprised?

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
I have been wanting this for a while, but remember, I can't buy any more beauty products.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
Cream eyeshadows really have my attention.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag
The perfect day, night, spring, summer bag. Could a girl ask for anything more?

What are some things on your wish lists this month?

November Favorites!

Another month passed, and the beginning of my faaavvvorritte month: December!
Not that much this month, but sometimes less is more, eh?

Stila Eyeshadows in Earth and Ebony
My lashes have been in need of an extra little boost. I've been mixing these two shadows on an angled brush and pushing it into my lash line for that "my lashes naturally have this much volume and yours don't" kind of look.

Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush
If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that my cheeks are naturally very, very rosy. I usually cover it up, but then I'm left looking like a ghost sometimes. I had a gift card and I decided to pick this blush up. It is perfect! It's not too red, it's not too pink, it just looks...pretty (in lack of a better word.)

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter in Rose Shimmer
I know I talked about this in my last favorites, but it's making its way in. If you do not have this lip gloss, you NEED it and that is no exaggeration. I use it non stop, everyday.

Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion
I just got this a few days ago, but who cares. The smell is to die for (think honey and peppermint) and it is moisturizing. It isn't as creamy, thick, and nourishing as Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, but I love it just for the smell.

The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Mist
A purchase purely because of Elizabeth. I love this body mist because it's light and you never have to worry about spraying too much. If you like rose, you're going to love this. I think they make a whole body line of this scent, too.

Again, I only got this recently, but it's just that good! It gives such a natural, flawless finish.

MAC 217 Brush
I don't really see the point in spending a lot of money on brushes, but this one is definitely worth it. It's good as an all of the lid brush, blending brush, crease brush, you name it! I don't reach for any of my others.

ModelCo Lash Extend Mascara
Since I've got volume covered with those shadows, all I need is a little extra length. This mascara makes my lashes look long, but not too long, all while still making them look natural. I'm impressed!

There you have it! November Favorites. If you would like any more in depth reviews of the products above please, please, please let me know. What products have you been loving this month?

Rest Assured | Last Haul of 2012

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Let's just say that the title explains it all. I am not, *repeat* NOT, buying anymore beauty products for myself until far, far into 2013.
I'm not sure how I accumulated so much stuff, but, you know, things happen.

My ever so kind mother gave this to me as a "thank you for helping during Thanksgiving" kind of thing. If you ask me, it was completely unnecessary, but thanks again, Mom. I have used this only once and, I must say, I. love. it. It gives such a natural and light finish. Do I think it is overpriced? Yes. May it be worth it? I think so, but we'll see!

Burt's Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion
I was in desperate, desperate need of a new body lotion (I've run through two of my Palmer's ones!) I have been wanting to try this for a really really long time, ever since I saw EssieButton talking about it. I used it today and, I must say, it may be my new favorite!

LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub
I adore my LUSH bubblegum lip scrub and I'm almost out. When I saw that this scrub was part of LUSH's new Christmas collection, I figured why not. I ended up buying this off eBay. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $7 on shipping from the LUSH website.

L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara
I was in need of a new mascara, so I picked up this one (because, are you surprised, EssieButton was talking about it)? I've only used it once or twice, but I really, really don't like it. I'll be doing a review soon, so watch out for that.

Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush
I have been wanting this blush for forever, ever since I saw MissGlamorazzi talk about it. If you don't know what this does, the blush interacts with the moisture levels in your skin to create a natural flush of color on the cheeks. Another review of this coming soon!

Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten

I have heard so much about this eyeshadow, it seems like every beauty blogger out there talks about it! When I saw this in a blog sale for only $8, I knew it was just a little too good to be true. Logically, I bought it! I'll let you be the judge if that was a good choice...

MAC 217 Brush
The. most. talked. about. brush...EVER. I'm going to make this short and sweet: this brush is so worth the hype. If you'd like to see a "products worth the hype" post, leave a comment!

So, there you have it: the last haul of 2012. If you would like any specific reviews of the products above, leave a comment!

Soap & Glory Flake Away

I have heard tons, tons, tons about the Soap & Glory brand, which I guess is why I was so interested in trying some of their products.

Of course, I am extremely jealous of the wide selection they have in the UK, but what can you do, eh? Sometimes eBay is your best friend.

The Flake Away scrub is an exfoliator created with sea salt, grapeseed oil, almond oil, sugar, and peach seed powder. Sounds good? Plus...this. smells. AMAZING. I know I say that everything on this blog "smells amazing" (my words exactly), but this is different.

It has such a sophisticated, yet still feminine scent. Some say that it smells like Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume or Dior Cheri, but I have smelled neither so I guess I'm not the best judge.

In the tub, the scrub really doesn't look that great, except for the fact that you have all those precious oils floating along there. When you use it, the bits and pieces in the scrub dissolve as you rub, letting you know the perfect time to rinse. As you rub, it forms into a milky lather that feels amazing on your skin.

Based on this product alone, I will definitely be trying more Soap & Glory products, let alone repurchasing this one.

What Soap & Glory products are your favorites? Are there any other body scrubs I should try?

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow | Birthday Suit

This is my second Benefit product (I also have their Girl Meets Pearl highlighter, which I love). I feel like their products are a tad overpriced, but the cute packaging catches my eye every time.

I don't have any other cream shadows, except one Bobbi Brown one which I don't really love, so I didn't have high hopes for this one.

On the other hand, my opinions were quickly swayed to the contrary...

This shadow is amazing! It's so light weight, it doesn't crease, it lasts all day, and it has the perfect dose of shimmer. If you like cream shadows, you're going to love this! It is the perfect makeup base for more dramatic eye looks or just swept all over the lid for everyday.

The texture is so smooth and buttery and blends like perfection.

As you can see from the swatch, you can really build this up or put it one quite sheerly. It does have a bit of shimmer, but it's definitely not overboard. It just looks like a really pretty (obviously that's the only way I can describe it.)

I would highly, highly recommend these cream shadows!
Have you tried any of these? What are your favorite colors? Any other cream shadows I should try?

Birchbox November 2012

Another Birchbox post...

I'm incredibly sorry that this is so late, but what can you do? Better late than never, eh?

This is supposed to be used as a dry shampoo, a category of which I haven't had much experience. I have to wash my hair everyday anyway because of the countless number of buns I must put in. I found it did get rid of the greasy feel of second day hair, but not the greasy look (what I nice explanation).

Being the chocoholic I am, this was definitely great to receive in my box. These would make great gifts!

Supposedly, this mascara is supposed to have little fibers that attach to your lashes as you apply. I found it was very lengthening and didn't look clumpy at all!

This serum infused primer has a really thick consistency - j'adore. I'm not sure if it masks diffuses imperfections like it says, but it works really well as a smoothing primer.

That name! This. Smells. Amazing. Honestly, if you like rose, you're going to LOVE this! The full size is $75-$195 (depending on the size you get), which is a bit much for my liking, but I can dream (you never know what may happen...) Birchbox also did a cool video on this perfume here.

Pretty good, eh? What did you get in your monthy beauty boxes?
Which boxes do you subscribe to and are your favorites? I'm really interested...

What I've Been Wearing #1

I've decided to give these posts an official name: What I've Been Wearing!

For base, I'm testing out a sample of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation and so far I really, really, really like it. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I also used my tried and trusted Clinique Redness Solutions Powder and Bobbi Brown Touch Up Stick. I used NARS blush in Deep Throat and Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow in Rose Gold on my cheek bones. Oh! I hit pan on this!!!! Anyway, recently, I've been using a mixture of the two shadows, ebony and earth, from the Stila palette (just black and brown) on an angled brush and using it as liner (it's the two shadows shown in the palette in this picture). Then, I used Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit all over the lid and The Balm's Mary Loumanizer on my inner corners. Just a quick swipe of L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, and that's it!

What have you been wearing recently? Have you tried any of these products?

Long Overdue | Stila in the Know Palette

Yes, the title pretty much explains it all...this is long loung (that was my attempt at some cool accent), overdue. I guess it's fair to say my laziness got the best of me (or if my mom is reading this...my homework). I got this all the way back in August - August!! Yet, here she blows - strong like a bull.

Top Row (left to right):
air, wind, desert, clay, earth

Bottom Row (left to right):
driftwood, fire, rain, smoke, ebony

earth, clay, desert, wind, air

ebony, smoke, rain, fire, driftwood

Now, let me note some of my favorites, shall I...

Earth and Ebony
I have been using these mixed together on an angled brush to use as eyeliner and, so far, I have been really liking the way it looks! Earth alone is a bit too light. Ebony on it's own is a bit too dark. And the perfect color is born!

This is probably my most used color in the palette. It is gorgeous in the crease for a little bit of definition, or pretty lightly dusted over the lid for a smoky eye. I'm not sure if they sell this shadow individually, but if they do...just guess what I'm going to say.

Overall, this palette *hands down* contains my most used eyeshadows. Do you have this palette? What are some of your favorite colors? Are there any other Stila shadows I should check out?

Uh Oh | Rose Obsessed

I used to hate *repeat* hate rose scented things. Don't say I'm crazy, but now, I just can't get enough! Here are my favorite rose products.

The Body Shop's Moroccan Rose Body Mist
This scent was introduced to me by Elizabeth over at Wunderkind and the minute I smelled it, I just couldn't get enough. I spray this on my clothes, hair, body, room, pretty much everywhere and probably more than I should. It is rosy, but it has a little bit of a musky undertone so it's not too girly.

Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter
Smells like roses, looks really pretty, is really moisturizing, could you ask for anything more?

L'Occitaine Desert Rose Hand Cream
I'm rationing off every last bit of this, for it was limited edition, but it smells like roses and is super moisturizing.

Melvita Rose Water MistI like using this as a setting spray or as a mid-day refresher. I really want to try more Melvita stuff, but I have to get my skin under control first.

LUSH Turkish Delight Body Smoothie
Moisturizing (let's not even go into the smell). Besides telling you that I really really want to buy the full size of this, I'm saving the sample container so I can open it and just smell it all the time. What else are you supposed to do with this?

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
I'm sure you guys are all probably desperately sick of hearing me talk about this, but the color is called rose shimmer (and I may or may not have just wanted to take a picture of the packaging again.

what are your favorite rose products?

Nuxe de *Amazing* Miel Lip Balm

Now, spending $20 0n a lip balm is not something I take lightly, but luckilyI had racked up a couple Birchbox points, so I got his for barely anything.

This lip balm may be THE best one I've tried and *trust me* when I say that I have tried A LOT! It is incredibly hydrating, it feels so nice on the lips, and it's luxuriously thick.

The smell may be the only thing that really bothers me. It is quite orange-almond, but it does smell expensive...which it SHOULD!

First, you actually have to dig into the pot to get some out - not just daintily run your finger over the top. When you put it on, it has little sand-like pieces in it which melt into your lips as you rub it in - maybe it's supposed to be exfoliating as well.

It stays on for quite a long time, about an hour for me if you're talking "I can still feel it on my lips when I rub it together", then an hour. Yet, it keeps them hydrated for much, much, much (did I say much?) longer.
Perhaps time will tell - this may be my new holy grail lip balm. Try it out for yourself here!

What are some of your favorite lip balms? Have you tried this one?

Skincare Trend | Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid

It seems like I've seen a bit too many Hydraluron bottles around (unfortunately, they can only be found and bought easily in England), but I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The answer - hyaluronic acid.

First, I must make a little disclaimer. I am not a scientist, I am not a dermatologist, in fact - I barely even know how to control my own skin, but I do know how to do research. If you're anything like me, you may freak out when you hear the word "acid". Don't fret! Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring substance in the body (sounds pretty science-y eh?). It is especially evident in the eyes and joints, where most moisture is needed. As you age, the level of the compound decreases causing osteoporosis and *huhuhmmm* DRY SKIN!!!Now, besides hydrating your skin, it also improves the tone and texture of skin, helps add a natural glow, and above all else, is all natural. You know that feeling (that I seem to have more often
than not), your feel like you are just putting chemicals on your skin? Well, let's hope this solves it.

I may not have aging skin, but I sure do know that any product with this on the list will be in my cabinet...soon....maybe after the spending ban (oh - I mean "reduced spending").

Battle of Caudalie | Grape Water vs Beauty Elixir

I'd say that the Caudalie Beauty Elixir is one of my most loved ("holy grail" if you will) products. I have found that it has done wonders for my skin, and that explains why I am almost out of it. I saw the Grape Water when I was about to buy another one and, seeing that they both had grapes on their bottles, I decided to pick up the Grape Water.

For price comparison, they are both travel size and the Elixir (1 oz) costs $18 and the Grape Water (1.7 oz) costs $8. Obviously, the Grape Water has much more bang for the buck. Now, let's do a side by side comparison...

Caudalie Elixir
The main ingredients in this bad boy are bitter orange, rosemary oil, peppermint oil, balm mint oil, rose oil, and grape extract. All of these combined are supposed to tighten pores, reduce redness, and supply glowing skin. Personally, the tightening pores aspect isn't that important for me, nor do I notice a difference, but the main reason that I love this product is because I have found it drastically reduces redness in my skin. After doing a bit of research, I found that this may be owned to the grape extract, which the Grape Water has. One more thing...this as a makeup setting spray is also AMAZING! It gets rid of that "powdery" look and adds sheen without it being shiny. The scent of this also bothers some people, but it doesn't really bother me.

Caudalie Grape Water
This only contains two ingredients: grape water and grape juice. After a few days of using this I have found that....it DOES reduce redness in my skin. I also find that it does supply a bit of moisture as well, but not tons. It doesnt really have a scent (although some claim it smells like grapes).

Overall, I find that I do prefer the Caudale Elixir, but I think I may buy the Grape Water more just because it is sooooo much cheaper. That means - if you've got the money (which I don't, but I just plan to ignore that), definitely *definitely* get the elixir, but if you don't definitely go with the grape water. Or....just get both.

Have you tried any Caudalie products? Which ones are your favorites?

Another Tarte Blush | Natural Beauty

Maybe you remember my last post of a Tarte blush in "exposed"...well, I've loved it so much that I just had to get another one. When I saw essiebutton (if you haven't realized yet, she might as well start her own advertisement company, because I would be sold on everything), talk about this shade, I just couldn't resist.

It looks quite scary in the pan, not to mention it is soooo pigmented. Although it is kind of scary for a blush conscious kind of girl like me, all it takes is one tap in the pan and BOOOMMM - you have the most gorgeous cheek color IN THE WORLD! This is the prettiest blush I have ever seen or used.

Like I said - this stuff is pigmented, but it gives the most subtle, natural, flush. I cannot get over it. If you are ever near where these blushes are sold, I COMMAND YOU to look at this one.

Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow | Rose Gold

After seeing both Estee (from EssieButton) talk about this, as well as pretty much every other UK blogger, I knew I just had to get. I added it to my never-ending wishlist, but then it was 30% of from FeelUnique (which is a UK online beauty store that does free worldwide shipping), I just had to get it. Unfortunately, since there is no more Jemma Kidd, I'm not quite sure where you will be able to find it, but check out ebay.

The color is a really pretty, gold toned highlighter, but to really describe it, I would use two words - rose gold. Oh, sorry for the "dent" in there. I just couldn't help myself but to use it. As for application, I definitely recommend using your fingers for this one. It warms up the product quite nicely and also blends into the skin flawlessly. Did I mention the packaging is really pretty too? Really sleek and thin...like the kind of thing you just want to throw in your purse.

Pretty, eh? I like how it isn't quite shimmery or sparkly, it just has a little sheen. It looks really pretty. Have I said that enough? I would not really recommend this for pale skinned people though, for it may come up quite orange. All in all, this is a gorgeous highlighter!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

This is pretty much the beginning of my *professional* brush collection. I don't really have that many and I was in desperate need of a blush brush. I have head so many amazing things about the Real Techniques Brushes, I decided to get one myself.

I decided on the stippling brush because it seemed like the perfect versatile option. You can use it for foundation, blush, and highlighter. I have tried it with all 3 and I was AMAZED. It blends foundation so effortlessly and it looks like you're not even wearing any! For blush, it applies the perfect amount-not too little, and not too much. It blends it effortlessly as well. As for highlighter-well, I'm just not even going to go into that because I'm pretty sure you know how I will describe the results. Pretty consistent, eh? I definitely want to try more Real Techniques brushes. They are so soft and work so well.

Au Naturel Joue avec Tarte Exposed

Oh yeah, people! Just practicing my French. If you're wondering what's with all the product reviews, it's just because I'm in that kind of mood. Anyway, let's get on with it shall we?

You all know about how I'm always talking about "natural" this and "natural" that. Well, this pretty much is the definition of my infinite amount of descriptions. *ENTER* Tarte Amazonian Blush in Exposed! This blush delivers the prettiest, natural flush. It is quite subtle....but my gosh, is it a beute?

The swatch above is pretty heavy, so it really is pretty natural. I think this is the perfect blush for Autumn, don't you?

September Empties

What better way to spend a Sunday than with an empties post, eh? If you are unfamiliar with posts such as this, basically it is a review of the products that you have used up recently. So, grab your cups of coffee people and pap-a-squat!

Organix Morrocan Oil Shampoo: I talked about how much I loved the coconut milk one of these, but that was a long time ago...okay, it was just a month, but my opinion has changed. First, the whole Organix brand of shampoos don't actually get your hair clean. With loads of hairspray jammed into my hair everyday, my head of hair is pretty much the idea test for these shampoos. Unfortunately, while using these shampoos, I got out of the shower to find a head full of flakes from broken down hairspray that resemble...well, dandruff. They also made my scalp soooo itchy. I hope that clears some ground up. I promise the rest of the products are more positive.

C.O. Bigelow Mentha Body Lotion: I really like the idea of this cream (and so will any lover of icy hot like me), but this does nothing to moisturize my skin.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: I really loved this. It really did keep my makeup all. day. long. My makeup was less shiny when 3 o'clock came around and everything was a bit less...smeary. I will definitely be repurchasing this again in the future, but for now, I'm going to try out some other makeup sprays.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate: I actually liked this, but I know that there are definitely some scrubs with the same quality that are just as good.

Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara: I really (repeat: really) liked this mascara, but I feel like paying a lot for mascara is kind of a waste. There are so many good drugstore mascaras, I just don't really see the point. Also, this one isn't waterproof and, judging from the back of my leotard during ballet class today, I need waterproof.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment: I have this product in the Honey tint, but I received this as part of my birthday gift from Sephora and oh boy, do I like it! It is the perfect night time treatment (and morning too) that leaves my lips so soft and smooth. I'm so sad to see this go, but I really want to buy the full size, but I have another product like this that I want to try first.
